AGC/NDOT - Meets Quarterly

Committee meets with NDOT to discuss highway-related matters.


AGC/RTC - Meets Quarterly

Meets with representatives of Regional Transportation Commission to review matters affecting Regional Transportation Commission street and highway projects.


Community Awareness/Special Events - Meets 4-6 times annually

Increases AGC profile and improves Construction industry image. Takes on one community project each year to benefit the community. Once a year presents the PINNACLE Awards for excellent construction projects.


Contractors Relations Meets 6-8 times annually

Promotes cooperation between general contractors and subcontractors. Peer recognition program. Promote partnering of construction projects by owner. Contractors/Subcontractors/Design Professional of the Year Awards.


Education - Meets twice a month

Mt. Rose School, Partners in Education and Career Day, and UNR Student Chapter Field Trips and CE 460 Classes.


Emergency Services - Meets quarterly or as needed

Emergency Services committee develops emergency response program for natural disasters. Coordinates Contractor's Auxillary with Washoe County Sheriff's Department and other emergency responders.


Governmental Affairs - Meets monthly/weekly during legislative session

Governmental Affairs Committee is responsible for AGC Legislative package. Monitors federal, state and local government. Recruit members for local citizen and planning committees. This committee will also assign additional task groups as needed.


Labor Policy Meets 1-3 times as needed

Negotiates and ratifies labor agreements for all signatory crafts. Establishes overall labor policy for signatory crafts.


Membership Recruiting and Relations Meets quarterly

Seeks out and recruits quality members for AGC from contractor, associate and professional industry associates. Identifies and establishes member retention program.


Public Works and Utilities - Meets Quarterly

Works with local municipal agencies and utilities. Assures owner receives best value for public agency construction budget. Works specifically to resolve issues that affect public works in local government. Involves joint meetings with local public works officials.


Safety - Meets 6 or more times per year

Safety committee monitors safety related issues. Provides safety training programs and safety materials.
