about us:
The AGC of America was formed in 1918 at the suggestion of President Woodrow Wilson because general contractors had no effective, national organization representing their industry.
From the first meeting in November 1918, the fledgling organization grew from 97 members to a powerful organization with more than 15,000 contractor members and over 11,000 supplier members in 89 chapters across the country. Nationally, AGC members perform more than 80 percent of the contract construction in the United States.
The Nevada Chapter AGC was chartered in 1939 and has been the premier voice for Nevada’s construction industry for over 80 years.
AGC is a tireless advocate for the construction industry through member involvement in civic and local affairs and at the Nevada Legislature.
The goals of the association are accomplished through the hard work and dedication of 11 standing committees responsible for various areas of our industry.
